Maybe this has something to do with it being a checkpoint on the route.......

I will also be somewhere at the back....in either a pink vest with a red face or perhaps a red vest and a pink face  if Amex has the 'so this season version' in his boot!
I'll be there as usual for one of my favourite races.
Well done to Selwyn (again) for ensuring the race goes ahead by making alternative parking arrangements and having to deal with a dodgy bridge to cross. (That bridge was dodgy last year so I would have thought the LDNPA would have got it fixed by now:o).
Off to bed now for some sleep. See you all in the morning.
Ricky Lightfoot 1st
Ben Abdelnoor 2nd (well done Ben!)
I heard the mountain rescue had to collect someone with a broken leg near Three Shires stone.
Yes a double fracture of the lower leg. Hope everyone else who fell were ok. I saw another three including the runner who fell after about 300 metres into one of the pools. Good turnout, exciting river crossing, nice conditions.
Unable to run at present I had a walk up from Three Shires Stone towards the oncoming runners with my camera.
Ricky caught me unawares as I was setting up the camera in a different spot. I went across to the line he had taken only to then find EVERY other runner took the route I originally expected.
So the first few runners were mostly missed. Also the last few probably as I wanted to get going back to Blea Tarn for another set up.
At Blea I waited for ages until there were very lengthy gaps between the latter runners. Sorry if I didnt get one of you - if I'd got there sooner I'd have gone a mile ahead of the start and got every one while they were all still closer together, but I like me bed too much to get up at 7 on weekends too.
