No running for me either. Knee not feeling good. Probably just being soft.:o

Helvellyn triathlon training starts here. I need to get my foot completely ok by September! 30 minute run today on the treadmill plus 1km in the pool. Was going to do a lot more in the pool but decided to save myself for my first cycle race tonight which I never made it to because the pub and the cinema beckoned. 28 weeks later is a very sick film. :)
who's that on your avatar calf??
Did just over 4 miles last night over the wet and windy fells - legs felt reasonable, and didn't really cause too many problems until hitting the tarmac at the bottom:(
Don't seem too bad today may try a run later??
Took the dog to the park, that'll do for today.

thought it was you??? ;)
very easy week - only 11miles in 4 days
26 on Sunday will make up for it though
well my knee eased today so i thought
12 miles
ran hard for first 6 then realised i have a 10mile relay on sunday
quickly applied the brakes :)
Weather rubbish here in New Hampshire USA - Blasted it down with rain yesterday. You lot will be gettin some of that soon.
6 Miles very steady on the roads around the Hotel - not very inspiring but easy enough
12K race saturday - I know, strange distance
what do mean its been lashing it down in the NW for the last 2 weeks!
Good session yesterday: 15 minutes steady jog down to the loacl 'sports' field (aka - the 'I'll take my dog there and let it shit in the middle of the football pitch next the childrens nursery and not clean it up field'), 10 minutes of dodging between the trees like an idiot, then four sprints between the goal posts 44.6, 43.9, 43.6 and 43.9. I usually do six but thought I was gonna chuck up. Then jogged home steady and did 50 press ups and a ten minute stretch. I was done for last night. Rest today, bike ride tomorrow on the Downs. Ready for the Trundle Hill race next Wednesday - one of the Souths's more authentic 'fell' races.
2 miles at 2.00am this morning
6 miles just , steady mind
5 x lap of Heaton Hall. 90 seconds recovery. Then 5 x 30 seconds strides. Long warm up and down. Rather enjoyable. Not been feeling great for the last so decided not to do Great Manchester Run tomorrow. Hopefully start feeling fresher again and get some good training in now.
12K race this morning. Didnt realise but this race formed part some New England Championship series or other. About 500 runners maybe
Kept getting passed very easily - thought I was having a real torrid time of it. Went through first mile (they have mile markers in a K race?) in 5.40 which is stupid quick for me, died a bit and finished in 48.07
Still quite please with the result but would rather have been doing Fairfield or Mount Famine
nice 7 mile over hobden moor except for the part when it HAILSTONED they bloody hurt they do
74 on the bike today along with loads of stretching and leg massage to help the hamstring. Want to get race fit for a couple of FR's in June - that's the plan anyway.......
leg 5 of the hilly 100 mile road relay
lots of hills , very steep
10 1/2 miles :)
just over an hour
3 mile steady jogging through the woods to get the soreness out from Fairfield, then 4 mile on bike with sons through the woods.
Out on the bike today 60 miles nice and hilly.
I had a lovely 30 minutes gentle trot round the park this afternoon. Felt surprisingly frisky considering I'd done Fairfield.
Wemt out for 90 minute run with mate and returned home many hours later after having to run back, pick the car up and then drice round to pick mate up. Set off on Crowden Horseshoe course in reverse. At trig point followed Pennine Way to the Greenfield road Left, along the road for a few miles to Dovestones. Mate died on this road, felt bad and dizzy. When we got to Dovestones we only had to run up to Chew Reser and across to Lad O Rocks and down to YHA but he was wasted. Decided to leave him at Dovestones to start to walk along the road to Mossley. I ran on over the moors to get the car back and go and collect him. Cracking day for being out on the moors.
Windermere Marathon
Once around the lake. Scraped it under three hours to get 4th place but was dying by the end.
My pre race plan was to run at 155 heartrate but 165 seemed manageable once i was racing and indeed I managed to maintain this to the end.
Will be off to Pete Blands this week to spend my prize on some Walshes - am determined to do some decent length fellruns/races before I resume marathon training for Dublin in the Autumn.
35 miles on the ironhorse yesterday as knee still knacked!
Seeing physio tonight!
Fingers crossed!

It was a quick 5.5mile run for me today, around the local woods. Enjoyed running with the sun on my back:) The sunburn's a pain though:(
