I'm thinking about coming out of retirement
It is an unwritten rule that once you are a checkpoint marshal it's for life - unless you find a replacement :)

I was hoping that losing 93 runners for an hour or so might get me out of marshaling this year ;)
It is an unwritten rule that...
er...only now it is a written rule.
Ah, Graham, fancy trying something new and marshaling??
You'll have to do much worse than that!!

My entry's gone in the post this morning. It'll be good to be back after 2 years' absence. Save some whisky for me please, mr b. You might need a spare under the table for when I get there. ;-)
posted our entries this am too. See you there
Just printed of the entry form. Can't believe it was 10 years ago that I last entered this one, where do the years go.......
Better start training, will be good to see auld acquaintances. Mr B mines a southern comfort........
Entry off int post this morning, si thee there folks :)
Mine's in the post too.
Oh Well, it will be a shame to miss all the forumites. Mines will be in the post soon. Promise :-D
does anyone know how quickly the Hobble usually fills up? I've got a bit of an injury and want to be sure it is cleared up before I enter
It hasn't filled up, but last year we were at the limit a few days before the event
cheers Brett. Hoping I'll be back to it in the next week or so, so will enter when training resumes!
new cheque in post for No2
who beat me for No1?
Last positive sighting I heard had him driving a removal van near Huddersfield. Reports he was wearing a ball gown and full make-up are unsubstantiated. No word on Galileo, but he's no doubt "doing his business" in a car-park as I type
Hoping to get down for this work permitting!
If you are going to enter, please make cheques payable to Haworth Hobble
Thanks
Daft question! Is this a walking event as well as a run? Just wondering as I'm considering doing it with 'the wife' at jog/walk pace. Karen can do Bullock Smithy in around 20 hours....should be doable?
It's always been a walk as well. Well do-able in 11 hours at a walking pace as long as you don't stop at the numerous pubs on the way!!
