Car Parking
A lot of rain has fallen in the Borrowdale Valley over the last few days and more is forecast. The becks are high and the ground is saturated. The fields used for car parking for the race are very wet and their condition is such that not all of their area will be firm enough to park cars on.
It would be advantageous for all, if the number of cars to be parked could be kept to a minimum. Where at all possible, runners are asked to share cars when travelling to the race, please.
Runners should also bear in mind that because of the ground conditions, it may take longer than usual to park. Please aim to arrive in Rosthwaite a little earlier than usual.
"The becks are high"......sounds like the final river crossing may be diverted over the bridge again like last year ?
"and the ground is saturated"......mudclaws methinks :D
