Still ankle to knee deep here...
There is a covering of snow on the top of High Street and the eastern Lakes fells this morning.

I can't believe it! Me and my pals Elise and Issy did leg 1 of the BGR yesterday and it was glorious. We sat at the bottom of Gt Calva in the sunshine eating our sandwiches. It was a little chilly in places and quite windy on the tops but I've got a photograph of Clough Head and the Helvellyn range which we took from the top of Blencathra and it was as clear as anything......how the weather can change!!

Snow in northwest Leeds tonight but after earlier heavy rain much too wet to settle.
Highlands are plastered, Glenshee road has been closed at the snow gates.
4 Flakes spotted on the Isle of Man......................Mountain road closed !
Does anyone know what Snowdon is like for snow right now?
Cant see at the minute, but might be worth a look if the cloud lifts

Plenty of snow on Crossfell today. Starts about 600 metres. 4 or 5 inches deep on northern slopes, where it's been lying for a week or more and fresh snow added since Thursday. That deep, on top of very soft boggy ground and tussocks....I 'ate it! Grrrrh

4 weeks in the middle of winter and no one has posted on the snow thread....
allow me to rectify that.
It's snowing on and off near the woodhead.
Wetherlam and Fairfield are both have patchy snow, though Wansfell Pike and Loughrigg look snow free.
Very short (10 mins?) but very intense mini-blizzard on kinder this morning. Then it pissed down. I should've been a weather man, me.
No snow where I am.
