Sorry Rachel, will look into it as it does matter really. Anybody that turned out and enjoyed (endured) and helped the team should be recognised. Thanks for your attendance.

well done Andy, :)
Do they usually have results for the other events i.e the long run? If I'm not mistaken, me and Socks were the first ladies although we might have been the only ladies!
I was really sorry I did not make this. The response to my question on Friday seemed to suggest it was nearer to Huddersfield than it is although I am still not sure exactly where it starts. Steve S gis a shout if you are going up that way again. I did go up that way though and met 4 MRT blokes at the check point between Margery Hill and Outer Edge, just as I was out of their vision I was met by the bog monster right up to chest. its scary but managed to swim to the shore which reqires just about full immersion. just after getting out I met another MRT chap who was doing a sweep to check for the position of the man eating bogs. kinda glad I wasnt the only victim. many thanks though to the MRT for making sure I was Ok and especially the two up on outer edge summit cowering in their shelter who seemed quite shocked as I stripped down and changed my shirt in less than ideal conditions. thanks guys!
Am sure Mrs Staggers and Socks were the first ladies back on the long haul ........ I was totally blown when they passed me on the last few miles :D
By the way Ian, could you have a look at my bLog with the race report - would like to keep the bog monstered photo in but need the photographer for the accreditation if thats ok?
Hope ya like the write up, thanks to WMRT for a great event.
Drop me a PM some time and I'll take you for a run along the "dry" line along the edge. Don't think they were Cowering just staying warm, they had been there for 4 hours. Sounds Like Debs went to check out the sport by the Bogmonster
Good write up Mike, I've sent the photogapher a message asking for permission, will Pm you with reply
On behalf of Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team, I would lke to thank everyone who took part in Grin & Bear it 2010 for their support and for their kind comments on this site. :)
Next year I plan to deploy a section to 'Deal with' the bog monster ;)
