having a weekend off fell-running :eek:
did 5k time-trial in local park for a change, in which a half-decent piccy of me was taken (rare event - see attached)
just got email from organisers starting:
"Dear Results Coordinator, representing Fell Ponies"
fame at last! :D

Anybody seen the Madeira island ultra trail on the long distance thread , it looks really good. We were there walking in 2002 always wanted to go back, so it looks like Sept2009 for me and Mrs Ak (when I tell (ask) her).
Any other ponies fancy a crack at it?

Mrs C and I fancied Madiera, those levadas look interesting:eek: only problem with 2009 is it's her 20th again and we sort of promised ourselves New Zealand and Borneo, close call, what do you reckon?? ;)

Levadas are interesting ask Mrs AK she followed me around one with at least 150ft sheer drop and no hand rails, she made me buy a guide book after that!!!!
