Yeay, 13 hours, and joint 2nd lady with my best mate Katy! :D
Caz - Congratulations to you and Katy http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...rty_smiley.gif http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/...rty_smiley.gif - but could you not have htfu'd and gone a minute quicker?
fjell_guy - Well Done to you and Mrs-fj - how did you enjoy it as a walk?
I enjoyed myself a LOT more than last year (the perfect weather helped), sticking like glue to my 14:29 schedule all the way to Earl Sterndale, but then leaking time steadily on all sections in the dark
would've been nice to hold to sub-15, but happy in the end with 15:12 as exactly 30mins quicker than last year
I'm not sure I'm ever likely to go much quicker than this, but the BS is such a fantastic route/event that I'm sure I'll do it again (and again), but I might give it a year off next year (although I said that earlier this year http://s3.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/s...sed_smiley.gif )
Nice one Daz! Glad you're happy with the time. Thought you might have been a bit disappointed at not getting your 14.30. Its a really hard event to get right if your out at Earl Sterndale in the dark. We had a very enjoyable but still hard day. My cousin knows his version of the route really well. He goes mainly on the road which would be good to run and easier to recall for navigation. One tricky bit coming into Brand Top from the top. As usual, I think we could have gone quicker but for being in a group of six, two of who struggled a little bit from Chelmorton, but its part of the group ethic to stick together. I'd hoped to get Karen round in under 20, but never mind! I'm still as stiff and battered as if I'd ran it!!! Well done to all that finished!
Well done all you BSH-ers. I followed you on the live tracker (at least until I went to bed on Saturday night). You had good conditions for it. I'm still envious.
How come you didn't go BritNick?
Daz is right, t_f_g, although in hindsight I reckon I could have done it. However too much catching up to do last weekend.
2013 results are now incorporated into SteveT's marvellous database thingy!
