Were they the ones waiting for the leg 5 people? Really felt for them. Am pleased with doing the last leg 3 minutes faster than last year, and our B team (mixed) got third mixed place wahaaay! (Oh, aparantly I was in the A Team :o Found that out after we had finished.)
Bitterly cold though

Yes, Ben - a double for Calder Valley - the ladies were first ladies team as well !!!!! :D :D Yeah !!!!!
You and Karl set the fastest time on leg 2 (Graham and I gave you a bit of ground to make up - thought we'd make it interesting for you ;) )
Men:
1. Calder Valley
2. Rossendale
3. Horwich
Ladies:
1. Calder Valley
2. Clayton (I think)
First vets were Clayton.
Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
Enjoyed it despite freezing mi wotsits off, Halifax managed to get a decent result in 9th possibly 8th despite 2 of our runners on leg 2 waiting in the car thus missing the start adding about 3 minsw to the time  tut

The question is though, is that Rossendale team (I think, Team Number 48) going to be penalised for having one runner turn up with the dibber, them letting the next leg go  despite the other runner coming in at least 10 minutes later. This was the end of leg 4 to leg 5
(Ooooo.... contraversy!)

Disqualify them and ban them from organising the event next year so we can all keep warm!

Yes I saw Steve Clawson (I think) come in on his own, spitting feathers cos the Leg 5 guys weren't ready. But his partner had failed to turn up at the start of Leg 4 so he ran without him.
Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
Great day - thoroughly enjoyed it. We managed 2 teams this year after our debut with a 9th last year.
6th for the A team, and 29th for the B team so progress made and even the roadies that were drafted in seemed to enjoy themselves.
Back again next year.
Thanks Rossy for another great event.
NB. That descent from Top of Leach is extremely eroded - can we not get it tarmacked?:D

That would be a second one then, different from the aforementioned one.Team Number 48
