Very sorry to hear that, you have my sympathy. My mother died a few years back around this time of year (I deliberately didn't remember the date) when I was in my early twenties so it's always a sad time anyway for me. Hope you get things sorted out as best as you can

I think also a lot of people try to dismiss it cos they don't like the answer it gives them. As we've become chunkier as a society, the perception of 'overweight' has changed - people are a lot less inclined to think of themselves overweight because growing levels of obesity distort the picture, they don't look so bad compared to the top end. The median has changed - and BMI is a bit of a control measure.
Although mine's around 23-24 and 50 years ago I'd probably have been deemed 'thickset'.

I've just found myself hitching up my jeans and then noticed I'm one hole less on my belt than I was a couple of weeks ago. Happy days! :coollarge:
