Don't think there is, I've never noticed any, would'nt be a bad idea though

Never thought of disposable, cracking idea!
Make sure its distinctively labelled though M. as most people will be using disposable ones. I remember when I last did it a young lad who was helping out at Ribblehead had spotted my number and pulled my bottle out and stuck it in my hand which impressed me a lot  The Hill Inn stop was more of a search but they are usually in race number order I think anyway.
Re: 3 Peaks Fell Race 2013
im looking forward to it although slightly apprehensive. Reccied the route a few weeks ago in 4.10. That was the first time id ever set foot on the peaks. set my sights on going off steady and hoping to go sub 3.30.
Re: 3 Peaks Fell Race 2013
Done that myself, I read it in one of Charlie Spedding's books, and yes it really does work as your not having to lift your body as high if you were to run in a straight line up the hill thus saving energy.

n.b; I did exactly the same thing a couple of months ago, my excuse was that the grid was full of snow. I now have a permanent lump on the front of my right lower shin!
thanks Andy, thats given me more cofidence
funny think is that i have lost a further two pounds over the last 2 weeks and hit my target weight of 10st 7lbs this morning so another plus. (except I might get blown away in the wind)

sounds very similar to me Rozzer! First aim is around the 3:30, will see how it plays out at Ribblehead!
Re: 3 Peaks Fell Race 2013
Sorry if I've missed it on the website, but does anyone know what the parking fee is (so I can have the correct change, if possible)?
Re: 3 Peaks Fell Race 2013
From where I am in Ambleside I can see a thin patchy white layer above 1500 ft on the Fairfield Horseshoe. I would be surprised if there was not something similar above Horton.
Re: 3 Peaks Fell Race 2013
Well, that's it, bags are packed, food & drink are sorted, shoes & kit are laid out and I'm fully hydrated, guess there's nothing left to do but run the damn thing!
Excited and nervous in equal measure here, no idea what time to aim for as it's my 1st crack at it so just going to try and pace it based on effort setting off nice and steady to try and save something for Ingleborough and the run in... yeah let's see how that goes!
Good luck everyone!
