Heeeeeepaaaah Stagger :):)
I am also happy as I have just been talking to my coach, as the knee is responding so well to the physio and track sessions... I am officially back in training :)
Base mileag till end of April, 16 hours a week... BRING IT ON :)
And another three hours on the boards bite the dust...
Two hours or so road planned for tomorrow... got to find my HRM, as I need to be in zone 2 for my base building... and that is quite low as regards HR...
That sounds very technical Hann. I just went out for a short 23mile blast with some stiff climbing and thrashed myself until I was close to death, seemed to work!
I know Tof, I prefer to do as you do, but Coach tells me that ain't gonna make me faster this season...
Have found the Garmin and its charger so it is now charged, however, the bike mount and HR monitor strap are still elusive... :(
Its me again Han
48k 1120m ascent
Legs buggered and I love it.
Your coach is telling you good advice "slowly slowly catch a monkey"
I think I sould start listerning to him.
40 odd miles with club - flying after easy week (well for me!) - had enough energy to try hard - also had a couple of breaks for punctures, and a long cafe stop :) 987m (3237ft)
Yay for Stagger and Ratfink!
I went out for what should have been a steady 2 hour ride in zone 2... but it was rather hit and miss as we were in unknown territory for me and my friend too a wrong turn and got us lost... So I took over and followed my fellrun ners nose to lead us back to known roads... which alas included 3 steep climbs which racked up the HR... and as I went out in a rush I hadn't had any food so bonked as well 50 minutes in, so we made our way home and it was too hard a ride and half an hour short :(
Track tonight, just as well, as it is cold and VERY wet outside!
Very wet this morning as we sluiced our way up the Rhondda, even, dare I say it wetter than last weeks extravaganza! Still, grateful to get over Bryn Ddu to Aberdare in one piece, with water pouring across the hairpins I was happy just to stay upright! Sodden and a bit wrinkly after 45 miles so splashed our way home! Erm, bike needs another clean, please don't tell Daz!
I won't Toff ;)
It was very wet today indeed and I was pleased I had a track session booked rather than having to go out in the pooring rain! I am definitely becoming a wimp...
Toff, will you and Weeze be planning a Steam Bunny outing on the bikes again this summer? You seem to be going well :)
