training free day today :p
6 x 3 minutes club session at University Fields. Has to be said that is one of the best places to train in the summer! We also saw Bisto training there today. Times were indifferent coz I'm still recovering from a virus, nevertheless, this is always a very enjoyable session for a Saturday when not racing at the weekend.
I went running this week, 9 miles on Wednesday, 9 miles today, hopefully some more tomorrow.
went running for the first time on the fells since christmas was great to get out again
Touch wood finally over the calf problem I picked up towards the end of Austwick Amble nearly 3 weeks ago so first exercise in a week with an easy 3 miles over reasonably flat terrain today. Was surprised the field paths were still reasonably dry considering it only finally stopped raining about 10pm last night having started Wednesday lunchtime.
just trying tio get out of commando training but injured my knee back in april and just getting my fitness back up smash the last 9 weeks of training, will be there soon enough,i hope
Did an ace bike ride today, mountain bikes are great. Cycled for 9hrs with Nats. We were flying on the tandem with Val in the kiddie buggy - it must have looked really funny for people walking. Off the bike then straight into a run - proper good way to spend a weekend!
2 mile joggers jog round rainy radcliffe roads..... my first attempt since injury.
Bloody marvellous to be moving again :D
:) good stuff moo glad you're slowly getting back on the wagon
feel a bit back on the wagon myself - just done 2 hours run :D
(well run/walk but who's checking :o )
Buckden pike FR yesterday and a damp 85 miles on the bike this morning round Bentham, Caton, Quernmore, Scorton, Longridge and back to Accy. Not a bad weekend, hope to squeeze in one more run before I go away.
Oh I feel like a proper runner now:rolleyes: I managed another 4.5 mile today woo. Next week I might even enjoy it;)
Well done Graeme!
I too have had a hobble out today..........all the spin cycling whilst injured seems to have turned my legs to lead!
Managed about an hour over our lovely Cannock Chase.......good company and a brew at the cafe afterwards: heaven.
Sat - 25miles on the bike
Sun - 14miles run in the woods
Will be a struggle !!
nothing today - well unless you count scraping up the glued down carpet underlay off my living room floor, as that was quite a work out  still a bit achey from yesterdays long run :o
Down the river bank to 5 rise locks and back on canal bank.
A steady 7 miler but my quads are still tender from Buckden.:o

I ran with my 17 stone friend who has just took up running. it was an easy pace, just what I need after yesterdays trog. He had a good hard run, I had a nice easy recovery run. There you go two birds with one stone.
I did not take the picture by the way

Another 6.5 mile son the road this morning. Oooh I feel so fit now.
I might even tempt another run tonight, with the dog:eek:
A nice hilly 5 1/2 miles injury free - felt great. Looking forward to building on that and enjoying some better race results.
Espania para me manana so will do a bit of hilly road running in some seriously warm weather. Will miss the fells but the Costa Del Sol will provide other attractions to take my mind off them, will just have to watch the Rioja intake levels. Cu at a hill in a few weeks time.
It will be an easy one the dog's knackered :D
3 miles of hard boot camp style training last night
Club run tonight.
Up to the top of Keighley Gate and back. 7.5 mile with 1100ft of climb. A poor time though, I need to frame a little harder.
Ok, I promised to do a couple of 3 milers this week....
Mon
8 Miles on canal, fields, tracks.
Tue
5 miles over some new paths that I've not used before. My legs are stinging like hell from the nettles! I need to go and trample the path down a bit more. Finished off with a lap of the Moto-X track which is pretty steep in places...
Running back I stumbled across the Burton 10k race about a mile from my house. I didn't even know it was on!
..and I promised myself that I'd stick to flattish runs this week - so down into the valley -only 32 mins but felt good on the hillier parts.
15 painfull miles tonight
legs still not recovered from buckden on saturday , why :(
Good 10 miler on the moors. Lads Leap was wet, but not as wet as it will be now as its been thundering and lightening with very heavy rain for the last hour.
5 1/2 miles on the road. Boys its humid out here, ran with my top off and still had to go under the outdoor shower when I got back
Home next week - bring on the rain
A very good downhill session 3 steep grassey bank reps followed by 3 reps down through the trees and then 3 very steep bank in to the stream. then a couple of mile warm down.
3 miles on the road nice and easy. Trainings been a bit off since a virus 3 weeks ago:( . HR OK on the runs though.
reccied youlgrave to crowdicote then onto hartington which looked about 14 miles , my legs of the derwent valley orienteering relays next saturday, a lovely day , legs were aching mind

wonderfull
caught the bus back to youlgrave £1.90 , good value
this would make an excellent fell training run for people living south of the peak district, the bus runs fairly regular
27miles in two days  , ouch my legs are killing me
