Up to 6 mile running and 2 hours on the bike.

Would love to do AW again but alas not this year DT

6miles running or 2hours on the bike is good considering time out last year :) Fellsman is coming up fast! :eek:

Struggling with things at the mo, need a good beasting session to get meself reet. And some good company..................and tight git;)

I was thinking of riding over on my (push) bike. Will it be okay to leave it behind the hall and can I leave my bag in the hall?

Always been over in the car previously so I don't know the answer to these questions.

At Causey Pike (same village hall) there was loads of bikes resting against the wall...and I rememeber a couple of bikes from last years A.W.
Morgan Donnally rode to the race last year.....and won it.:eek:...then rode home!

I was thinking more along the lines of cycling in from Keswick not Newcastle :eek:

I will be manning my usual spot - Dale Head checkpoint.
Make sure that you yell your number out (and Forum name of course) as you pass!

Great day today perfect conditions, maybe even a tad to warm very dry conditions. 1st Ben bardsley, 2nd Chris steele and 3rd Al dunn great run Al well done. And also well done to all who finished. Ohh and simon booth won the TWA.

Hello Mr. Navigator, it was good to see you at the checkpoint. Great race, stupendous views and my knee just about held out as well.

Great day today saw plenty of forumites including Herakles. beat Scott by a minute or so as a result of his semi retirement. 15th ish so decent championship points

Haha good race may have to get some training in from todays result which means coming out of retirement...hmmm, anyway hope your feet are okay from the new shoes.

I remembered to say hi to Navigator too. A great event made even better by some stunning weather. My first vest-shaped tan of the year. Plus I knocked 6 seconds off my PB.

Al F had a good one too and Em, Hes, Mudlugger and Baggins were looking strong as they came through Dale Head.

I was impressed with Al Fowler's run too.

Em was off up Causey Pike too after the race for some more BG mileage. !!!

I bet it was great being on Dale Head all day. I know it isn't always that nice being a marshall. Thanks for doing a great job.

Thanks to all the marshalls and race organisers for another great day out today.
I wasn't feeling too good but still beat last year's time so pleased with that.
The first section along the valley up to the foot of Robinson nearly finished me.
A superb event and very sociable too.:)

I would just like to day a big thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of this race, I can see why it is so popular.

I was pleased to arrive early to enjoy the atmosphere at the village, it was great to see so many forumites and i hope to post some pics at some stage (including a very fetching one of emmilou's hair which I regard as a work of art- her hair- not the photo!)...the run itself I found quite gruesesome in parts (especially robinson!) and I was definately suffering from dehydration...but the views were spectacular.awseome in fact......i felt like i was doing well (for me) and reached the final checkpoint in a reasonable time (again for me)...unfortunately I somehow took a wrong turn after high spy (i think) which led to me and one other getting lost so it took us ages to get back but even so i was just pleased to be part of the whole experience and would love to it again (with a bit more prepration..ie a recce perhaps!)

A special thanks to Harry Howgill and Hes who both ran excellent races and waited for a lost freckle to return when they could have so easily gone home earlier for a nice soak in the bath!...x
