2270 miles, 130,000 m of ascent, 461 hrs of total training.
Not many races, I doubt more than 10 I reckon. One medal.
Don't know the milage, don't know how many hours, don't know ascent, I know the niggling injuries. Just know I enjoyed running/training last year for the first time in 6 years! (major injury free year for once!)
i just crept over 2000miles last year
46 races in total , not all fell but i will do prob 80% fell this year.
i learnt that to do well in fell races you have to put the work in, hill reps, long runs, bit of speedwork, the lot. theres no easy way
i have enjoyed every single fell race ive done and i find i can recover far quicker than when i did half marathons.
I did 723 recorded miles between July and November, but I'm not very good at keeping a training diary. Once my HRM broke I dropped the habit of keeping the mileage records. Raced far more in 2006 than the previous few years.
Only the 970miles for myself was aiming for a 1000 but just missed out with a bout of sniffles in the last week or so. Looking at the rest of the replies i need to up the millage slightly or possibly a lot.
Harrison stickle race, Duddon valley(Full), Blisco dash,Three Shires, Langdale Horseshoe. No idea of the total ascent or distance but I smiled alot so I can't ask for much more. Probably avg. 30miles/week training but I don't keep tabs. I'll be doing alot more this year, for sure. Quietly chuffed for a first year.
