Spare a thought for Greg Hull - 3 mens teams + 2 ladies teams for today and he's racing himself. So if you see him wandering around aimlessly with a crazed expression, dribbling and gibbering about fish in a welsh accent you'll know why!
Re: 12 Stage NoEAA Relays
1. Leeds City 3:19:22
2. Sale 3:25:16
3. Trafford 3:25:39
Fastest Legs - I think - Johnny Mellor 20:22 Long leg, Steve Vernon 11:35 Short Leg.
Late correction - on results it has Chris Carriss Bingley 20:15 Long Leg!!

Impressed with Mellor actually - it will be interesting to see how Roadrunner felt he ran as Mellor took 14s out of him.
Massingham from Sunderland 11:39 short leg was cracker as well.
BBH - 24th  the worst we've done since I was around - we haven't the depth to do without our 3 quickest guys on the long legs and a couple of others that would have been in the A team.
Well done to those that turned out though.
Decent day - much better organisation than Catterick.
Re: 12 Stage NoEAA Relays
What do want to know WP? Mellor is a class act and has ran 14 minutes for 5k. He is obviously in shape and not kocking out 100+ miles a week training for a marathon. Plus I did a big session yesterday as with it being close to the FLM I couldn't afford to miss a session for todays relay race. Turned todays race in to a two hour run.
Can you do me a favour WP? Can you find out which Blackburn runner was giving verbal to one of our runners today when he was racing and who it was who threatened to 'batter' one of our athletes for telling him to shut up? I find it all very unsporting like was was amazed when I was informed.

I'm surprised you turned out Andi with FLM so close, I think it reasonable to understand your keeness to be 100% focused on that.....i suppose it raises the club / athlete question again.

I expect the Blackburn runners were merely voicing their concern at the way Salford appeared to be playing fast and loose with the eligibility rules.

That's all I was wondering - I know Mellor's good - but I also thought one or two of you guys just behind him may have a few more miles in the tank at the minute.

What's giving verbal? I'm not aware of anything malicious at all Andi - and OnceWas Runner I think is alluding to Phil and his eligibility.
Our Club Chair sits on Lancs AA with Phil and asked him about the switch of clubs as we were surprised - Phil advised that he was cleared from 1st April (hope someone wasn't pulling his leg;))
If it was something to do with Phil, I'm sure that he'd be able to identify the culprit- he does know most of our lads.
If it was a playful "come on Blackpool " - then guilty - but from your description I would question whether that is what you are refering to - and certainly there were no other incidents that I'm aware of.
Are you sure it's Blackburn? It was his old club who's tent was pitched next to you.

We weren't that's just it - we were puzzled - asked - and were advised on Phil - unless you are refering to someone else?
Re: 12 Stage NoEAA Relays
Hey up WP,
A few more miles in the tank is an under statement! The mileage is high at the moment and with the half last weekend. But now its the school holidays!!!
I just spoke with Phil about todays race. He resigned from Blackpool and filed all the correct forms in. (Which includes paying £10 if people dont know) At the eligability meeting which took place on 23rd March they decided phil could run for Salford from 1st April. They wrote to him, as is procedure because they like to inform the athlete first, and also sent us notification. Phil always remained second claim at Salford Harriers and ran fells for us and I believe it is tis that made the AAAs decide that he could be clear from 1st April. So Salford haven't been playing 'fast and loose' with eligability rules and implying so shows how little some people regard the fact that as a club Salford Harriers follow rules and adhere to them and support them.
Phil disn't hear the comments made today while he was racing, nor does the lad threatened to be 'battered' know who it was apart from seeing the Blackburn kit. It didnt take place at the tents obviously.

It can't be my comments then as Phil did hear them - he said so!
NB - it wasn't me with the "fast and loose" comment!!!!
