What, no jars of marmalade this year?
I was very envious of last year's winner. It looked like lovely home-made stuff.
I should be back for this one again on Wednesday. For those who haven't done it before, it's good and steep in places (310 metres of ascent according to DTS's helpful link).
superb race as usual last night - Many Thanks to Pete/marshals :)
weather cleared up nicely to ensure the obligatory stunning views
I knocked a minute off my course PB, but mainly I just love the course and will keep "streaking" this one every year :D
Very nice race. Surprisingly good weather (after an awful day) and some atmospheric misty bits in the forest. Lovely.
Thanks to the organisers.
Glad it went well despite the weather. Decided to stay at home and save my knees (still battered from a face first tumble on recce of Borrowdale), for Saturday's race - Borrowdale that is.
Was it well attended?
I fully intend to be back next year:)
39 runners according to the provisional results.........

numbers slightly down on last couple of years - probably partly to do with weather forecast (although turned out nice again)
it would be a real shame if this superb race were to fade away
maybe some clubs could put it into their champs next year... :D
I fully intend to be there every year... it's a great race and well worth the support.:D
The race was on the same evening as the Wizard Multi Terrain in Alderley Edge, which had 108 runners. The events were not supposed to clash and next year I am sure some of those runners will be at the Macc Forest 5.
Best.
Race.
Ever.
