Can anyone give me a lift to race from Penrith or Carlisle? (one way only, thanks)
Stewart
I have sent you a PM regarding contacting me if you still want a lift tomorrow.

What a good race! I partcularly liked the way the waterfall near the top of the climb blew sideways to cool you down :). Super windy on the tops, a big well done to the marshalls who got roped into standing up there.
Quite pleased with my race although my right calf is now very tight, hope it loosens up quickly. Ran the last couple of miles with Lisa Lacon from Holmfirth, she can't half move, she was 1st lady back and very close to the female course record but proper results should confirm. My watch read 1:12:48 but the 305 does some funny things at times and the route in Memory Maps is closer to 1:16.......somtimes a simple watch does a better job of recording elapsed time.
Hope you had good races Sinatra & Tryfan, didn't see you at the end although I was off soon after I had my soup and roll.
Good time Ady, well done. Glad you enjoyed the race, will you be adding this to your calendar for next year?
Having done this race last year, it was nice to return to Dufton again. Although finishing 46 seconds slower than last year, I was still pleased with my time of 1 hour 23 minutes and 6 seconds given the conditions at the top of that valley! Visibility was poor up there compared to last year and it was definitely more windy this time around. I almost got lost at one point but was caught up by another three runners and we soon found our bearings again.
How nice was that soup at the end, worth travelling 100 miles for! Thanks to all involved in the organisation of this race. Somehow, I think there might even be more runners next year!
Yep, it is one I would do again, low key ish with a good 'fell race' atmosphere. Reckon there were 150 runners looking at the race numbers on the table just before the start. Glad I put the wind smock on, was a bit warm until the head of the valley and then just right to the finish.
If you get a sniff of the results post 'em up :)
Do you know who won and if female record went?
Nope, we didn't stay for the presentation either. I will keep a look out for the results though.
well done Ady and Sinatra! hopefully see some photos too :d
A really enjoyable day - the run was well worth the trip - a must do for next year. The wind was strong on the top and no views but a really great run down. Thanks to all the marshals who stayed on the top. Soup at the end was worth the run.
 I was one of these three runners that caught up with you (blue & white Bingley vest) and almost went wrong. Glad we didn't get lost, did not fancy running any further than we had to in the conditions as this was also my 4th race back after a nine year break being the furthest I have raced for some time. Thoroughly enjoyed the course, will be back next year. Have to agree the soup was great!
