(Apologies if it sounds as if I've started posting in Latin.)

I expect we will beat last years time if we follow one of the "Kryptonelle's" teams from Tod!
Who are the "Kryptonelles"? A Tod offshoot?

Re: Wuthering Hike-Haworth Hob

Re: Wuthering Hike-Haworth Hob
Anyone any idea what it is going to be like underfoot? Will I get away with minimal grip or are Walshes essential?

Hi Matt
I'm running with multi-terrainers. It's muddly in places coming down off Stoodley Pike but I think most of the course is on tracks/not too boggy. Possible to do it in road shoes maybe.
Anyone else?

Given the weather we've had it has to be trail shoes. It will give you more grip when dodging fallen runners wearing road shoes:D

Re: Wuthering Hike-Haworth Hob
Just a quick note to say the Hobblihike starts and finishes at the Community Centre in Haworth. (See entry form :D)
I've just had a couple of phone calls from late entrants who would have gone to Westfield Lodge (anything to shave a few miles, I suppose!)

And just to clarify a bit further, the Tod runners running for the Krypton (ettes) team/club are definitely still members of Tod.

safety pins
brett you tight arse:)
6.30 omg, id best be off to bed
-
Re: Wuthering Hike-Haworth Hob
I think you'll find I have safety pins aplenty.... but like all good fellrunners you will always find about 30 pins lurking in the bottom of your bag!
Food.... hmmmmm wait and see. If you can eat all the donuts, hot X buns and scones and over 30 kilos of biscuits on the way round you might not want a meal at the end. (and not forgetting the hot dogs at Stoney Lane :p!!)
Spent all afternoon and evening on the hobblihike - going for a couple of pints but have to be careful as being picked up at 5-00 am
See you all in the morning in bright sunshine...
-
Re: Wuthering Hike-Haworth Hob

Re: Wuthering Hike-Haworth Hob
many thanks to brett and team for a great event,so just how far was it?
-
Re: Wuthering Hike-Haworth Hob
Yes, thanks to the organisers, though personally I had a run I'd rather forget, with stomach cramps for the last 10 long, long miles...
I must have looked the way I felt because the nice lady at the finish gave me a spot prize to cheer me up because, she said, I looked so miserable.
Hope everyone else fared better, nice to meet Iandarkpeak, Harryjohnson and Socks as well as the usual suspects (Merry and Crumbly).
Sorry not to talk to you at the end Derby Tup, I was feeling too grim to be sociable.
Starting to feel more human now, which is as well as we're off to dinner party in three quarters of an hour....will I fall asleep and drown in my soup? Tune in tomorrow to find out...
