Those photo captions are dripping in sarcasm. It's basically just a very snobby article designed for middle class tossers from Chipping Norton to have a good laugh at working class people; but I must admit they do themselves no favours with their awful dress sense and fatness. :closed:
My Big Fat Gypsy Day at the Races.
Seems they took a photo of every single girl there. There's hundreds.
Holy sh!t!! Daily Mail in balanced article shock!
http://hanlonblog.dailymail.co.uk/20...-cyclists.html
It's not only imbalanced, but it's twisting statistics.
Cars kill more than bikes and trains. That's without any real analysis of the relative usage of these modes of transport or the the causes of the fatalaties.
Of course most motorists are not like Ms Way. Most have at least one or two brain cells in their heads.
Disparaging and sarcastic - just unwarranted.
Most of these dead people (killed by cars) were pedestrians or cyclists.
and some of those cyclists killed by cars were perhaps negligent and the car driver was perhaps at no fault. How many of the incidents where cyclists killed in collisions with cars end up with a prosecution against the car driver?
Cyclists, on the other hand, kill, on average, one or two people a year.
Shouldn't those cyclists that kill themselves through negligence be included?
I'm not anti-cycle. I'm anti irresponsible idiots on the road causing a danger to themselves and others, whether they are pedestrians, cyclists, motor bikers, car drivers, white van drivers, HGV drivers...
Driving around the Dales a few times in recent weeks, people using 2 wheeled forms of transport certainly seem more prone to risk taking than those on 4 wheels.

I'd actually forgotten about those two.
Hopefully they'll be less noise about this north of the border.
What's your bloody problem XRunner? I responded to you and challenged you to find one example of me being sexist. You didn't (couldn't) so I'd appreciate it if you put up or shut up. Preferably the latter.
You're the one throwing inaccurate accusations about, not me. I don't like sexist 'man-haters' so that automatically makes me sexist - not a very intelligent conclusion for you to make.
Easy now TH. Remember kids read this forum.
Also, it seems winding people up is a reason some people post on the forum. While this makes it harder to have a sensible conversation, you need to realise when someone is just rattling your cage to get a rise out of you. ;)
Woop!! DM wins the porn war and forces Cameron to insist ISPs put an automatic filter on everyone's connection!!! The irony being that the first thing that gets blocked is the Daily Mail! FAIL!!

Dacre is, all those who have had the misfortune to work for him assure me, just about as loathsome, self-regarding, morally putrid, vengeful and disgusting a man as it possible to be.
What a headline? Lets hope Middle England is a vampire....http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...iles-away.html

Hated
It wasn't difficult.
Hated too and my dad's not even a Marxist!
Ignored - not sure what the relevance is.
Hated, but I was suprised it took three questions
Shocking - Daily Mail 'hates everyone in Britain'.
