Would I be o.k. to attend?
I cant resist sounds like fun.
Hope the weather co-operates.
If welcome I might have to give the apre's Fell a miss. May have work the next day.

Me held your banana for most of leg 2:D
running attire sorted - er i'm not the only one making the effort right?!! ;)
how about dressing as the iceman.....reckon it'll fit right in
i'm going as a fell runner,my guess is it's going to be a tad cold on the tops
I'm game for a bit of fancy dress - I originally thought it was obligatory for some reason. A big bushy beard and woolly red hat will be just the thing if it's as cold as I expect it will be!
emm perhaps i could get a badger costume
Attachment 830
emmi if your not sorted i think this would be good
im trying to get a running santa outfit
anyone know where to purchase them , must be lightweight
I am sorted thanks!
can't find a pic though - it's an emmi one off special!!;)
Good stuff Alan - get practising!!:D
Not long now - are we all excited!!
Amex - you are still coming aren't you:(
me and fleeter definate
we are all ready
fleeter is really up for carrying my rucksack and sarnies around the course.
Im up for it,
Are 2 legs of the BG realistic and will we have enough time to sort our selves out for the evening.
The missus can pick a few up from Dunmail after leg 2.
What does everyone reckon.
yeah suppose the big thing is getting back after we have finished , i would really like to do 2 legs though.
Jamie if your planning on a few legs of the BG i will be interested, my last commitment is the Round roth then im free as a bird at weekends after that unless emmi wants us doing something else:)
Mrs C and I will be up for this, unable to stay over though as she's working the following day. If we run as a group then you're only as fast as your slowest runner, therefore without headtorches and if you're hoping to get back to Keswick showered changed and ready for the curry shop I reckon you'll be pushing it. ;)
I'm very keen to do two legs; I'll definitely be able to arrange a lift back from Dunmail too.
BTW, I'm in the Lakes for a week beforehand so if anyone fancies putting a (relative) beginner through their paces let me know (planning on doing leg 4 from Seatoller and maybe the Borrowdale race route, amongst other stuff!)
Counting down the days :)
I would not miss it for the world!!
at work we have a dircetor on suspension thats why i am not on line as much for a while!
I have work to bloody do!!!!:(
I have not run for 2 weeks now, am going to try and run sun at Bowland, i know i will be sore Monday but will see, if i can rest a couple of weeks then run all will be well i will keep playing till i get my op date which i can choose!
i may be lucky and be able to do a leg on xmas in the fells!!
Wow close now and as my little girl says i am well excited!!!:p
Hi All,
Just a heads up and reminder i know some of you are busy with going round Rotherham?????????
But it's close to Xmas now!
so to remind you all
It's a 7.30 start from moot Hall on Sunday the 23 of December 2007.
We aim to do two legs but we are under no pressure at all.
We can retire as a group at any time this is not a race it's a social event.
If weather is too bad on day we will as a group sort another route!
At night we meet at the George Hotel top of town at 6.30 few pints then to the lakeland Spice for a meal then round town and if open up the loft for a dance!!
i have booked a table but could do with knowing who is definitely coming so i can confirm numbers and put a deposit down for meal so please will you let me know.
Many thanks
Amex
hopefully it will be a grand day out
Yup still on for run + curry; can't wait!
Sorry for late entry onto the thread.
I'll be up nr Keswick for the week around Christmas, but unfortunately I think I'll only be arriving on Sunday lunchtime (staying in Newlands valley).
Anyone staying around over Christmas and fancy some runs in the area that week?
amex me and fleeter will def be up for the curry

cheers
Yep - that's a DEF from me too!!:D
can't wait!!!
amex we best not have garlic at the indian just in case we liven up and hit the loft and its full of the ladies of keswick.
i hope you have not upset any in previous years , is there anything i should know about :) before we hit the town
