That looks wicked.
We had an hour and a half running in a blizzard around Bull Hill and holcombe.
Nothing beats running in the snoe when it's dark.
Awesome:D

Just run 4m home from work in snow, it was cracking, no one about, no cars, ran in the middle of the road, got called Spiderman by some tipsy bird coming out of the pub, just before she fell over. Stopped to help her up of course, i am the freindly neighbourhood sort:D
Is the last photo me millipede? What a brilliant run out this evening!
Bloody loads here
Me and badger had a nine mile run and part way round we both had a playful scrap on the hillside in virgin snow.
A good 4/ 5 inches in places:).
*sulks*
dog walked...in the rain....again. :(
There wasn't any snow in Preston when i left.
He He:D
there was a coating on the road at red scar ind est, and then the wind blew it away.:D:p;)
who has taken all the snow away :(
It's here, I've just spent 2 hours digging the the path and cars out. Going sledging soon. last night I dug the cars out just incase they were needed, there was another 15 cms on them this morning

It looks the same around us Ian...
I went into work on the cross bike yesterday, but today actually decided running in was the safest option! Quite fun, running through about 5 inches of snow, through some fields. The steep icey bit of road even wasn't a challenge for the Roclites... but would have been on the bike.
It is snowing again...
As I live on top of an exposed hill it's basically been blowing and blizzarding until the early hours. Woke up to a "bit more snow" this morning... :)
My meeting's over. I'm about to take the dog for a walk with my sledge!
Yippee!!:D:D
Nice pics Jan - get the kids tunnelling through those drifts!
We're knee-deep.
I'm going to steal my brother's mountain bike while the bent bits on my road bike are being straightened out.
Getting the bus all week will drive me crazy!
That was brilliant fun!! Although the dog's natural sled-pulling skills - like he would have in the wild - did not emerge. In fact it was bloody difficult trying to steer the sled with one hand and hold the mutt's lead in the other!!
Using the sledge as a snowboard didn't quite work out either. A few entries for the falling over thread I think.
Got a few weird looks from some of the other dog walkers:o
From my hill, Pendle was in front of me looking all pretty covered in snow, and I began to wonder...Geronimo??...Sledge??...Hmmm...???
Finally got out for a run in the snow today during my "lunchbreak" as I am working (shirking?) from home today:rolleyes:. Most of the paths are unwalked on yet as the snow fell midweek so great fun for running in:D

I got eyeballed by a kestrel on the way home. Probably thought I was about to drop and there might be some fresh meat available:)

Don't know about anyone else, but a sense of normality has returned today. Packed the kids off to school, roads weren't as bad once I got off our hill and even managed a few chores in exotic Holmfirth. C'est la vie....
Still stacks o' snow piled up though! :)
That's the beauty of 'west coast living'! :p
Still loads here, Stunning day lots of sunshine. I've been for a run this morning, not the one I'd planned but good enough, the back of the golf course which is about 400m from my house it was still thigh deep in places. Lots of cross country tracks about and the snow is still fresh , no crust and no slush, more tommorrow apparently:D
Had a mate staying up here in Sheffield for long weekend. He's a supply teacher and had several weeks work booked starting Tuesday so left Monday morning.
It took him just over 2 hrs on the train to London, 2 hrs 20 mins to get from London station to home.
He got up the next morning, found his local station shut and a note pinned to office door "NO TRAINS - THANKS" so phoned the school to say he'd be late. No reply so he phoned the agency. They said sorry all schools are closed didn't you know?
He went home.
One of today's papers had the headline "TEACHERS NEED TO SHOW MORE GRIT"
More snow forecast for the next day or so.
They should be so lucky!

It's cold out side, the clouds look heavy and.....
ITS SNOWING
Great conditions here. Over two feet of snow! (well both of my feet were covered in snow!:))
Just back from an hours run in perfect conditions - felt like 3 hours of effort ploughing through the snow. Doubt if I can drive into work as the village is cut-off by the snow. Looking forward to another long run later today.:)
