I did see you coming for me out the corner of my eye, and thought I better stop jogging, and start running :D
And in reply to Martin's Mrs.

A great race and many many thanks to the organiser, marshalls and spectators.
Even tho it was only a 4 miler, it was a tough bike back to Hebden Bridge. I think only having 1 packet of chocolate sesame snaps after the race, after cycling from HB was a bad mistake. Was absolutely knackered when I got home......bed by 8 I think!!!
Thanks again to all.
I first did this race in 1985 and competed every year except 1987. There was no race in 2001 due to FMD, so 2009 was my 23rd outing.
The race I've done most times is Pendleton. Again, first time in 1985, no race in 2001 due to FMD, so this year will be my 24th consecutive race.
Can anyone beat that ?
Does anyone know where can I find the results for the Pendle Fell Race 2009.

It's back who's going?... if softie and hursty haven't worn the hill out ;). What's the route then chaps?

No idea of route though ?
Sheesh lads, save some for the rest of us :D
Very roughly- from Barley Green, main track alongside Lower Ogden res, up at some stage past Buttock then continue climbing to c500m contour about 1km south of summit, drop all the way down the 'diagonal' stony track til approx due east of summit - then the hands-on knees steep climb up the Big End all the way to the trig, then south down the spur back to reservoir track and along to finish.
I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong as its been 12 years since I last ran it!!
A bit like this:
I hear its all runable?:eek::D
I call the main climb "up the middle" the real big end is the last climb in the FTOP further to the right.
Arse, i've got physio at 10.15 that morning  i could still make it but one thing i do know is that my ITB will be very sore :D decisions...
Looking over to Pendle from pinhaw today looks like theres still lots of snow about, i went round the route 2 weeks ago t'was boggy then so by now it will be super sloppy.
Race won by john brown, Grahame pearce 2nd and mike fanning 3rd, mike was 2nd to top but got caught, jonny bradshaw first u18 6th overall, declan bulmer 1st u16, james hall 1st u14 and lloyd davies 1st u12 boy (got sprinted by a girl) a almost clean sweep by wharfedale in jnrs :D

A selection of pictures from a downhill section of the race. I was using a paparazzi style setting, which means I've got as many as 5 or 6 pics of many of you as you head down the hill. PM me if you want me to mail you a sequence of yourself flying (or otherwise) downhill. Sorry, I did miss a few coming downhill where there were big groups. I've also got everyone coming uphill, if you want a picture of yourself gasping for breath. Can't upload any more to flickr due to account limitations, but do get in touch if you want pics for your club newsletter etc and can't see what you want online.
Nice work Marrow .
Could be an interesting year - I'll keep my eye on the results !
