Regrettably not, Saturday went fairly badly for me so I'm having to rest before running again Wednesday. Booked in with Physio Friday as this intermittent running schedule I've been forced into last couple of weeks simply won't do.Quote:

I too had an impressive splurge of blood covering one shin courtesy of a nest of brambles, nice eight inch gouge down the front of my leg after showering it down!

Great way to cap the evening off in the Ladybower with Ian and meeting the rest of the DPFR warts.

I think those results need checking. Looking at the Pennine runners, we seemed to have gained an extra Elaine Rose and an extra Frank Fielding in the race, and lost poor old Neil Goldsmith!
And what happened to Margerine????? I only saw Grouse!!
I spotted this earlier when Charlie emailed the club and have let him know, so the revised version should be out soon.

Rudolph - is the comment about Margarine anything to do with the results? (I don't know who Margarine is!)

I remember not too many years ago the Dark Peak guys getting a team prize at Ennerdale which (if the maths had been done correctly) should have easily gone to Pennine. By the time the mistake was discovered, however, Lost Lad et al had supped the lot, and it was too late!
So ... sup up Macc!! Possession is 9/10 and all that!!
Just out of interest, how was the ladies team prize worked out?
My back-of-the-envelope maths suggests that if you go on ladies positions, then Pennine and Holmfirth tied with 19 (though Pennine had highest placed third counter).
But if you go on race positions, Holmfirth wins with 228 (38, 88, 102), Pennine getting 248 (61, 83, 101).
Not that I'm quibbling on anything, esp given that Holmfirth's men walked off with the 2nd team prize when they were actually third, AND I managed to bag a spot prize. There's only so much cheap white wine a girl can drink.
But for reasons of team pride and wondering if I should be berrating myself for not running faster, I am curious...

Marvellous race, somewhat spoiled for me by cracking a rib and fracturing my ankle coming through the gate posts on the way down from the Nab, only just plucked up the courage to go online and check the results, which proved to be a positive experience in that I managed to finish in exactly the same place as last years race, very slightly slower, hence displaying a significant improvement! So I am naturally delighted to be in plaster for 5 weeks, made worse by living so close to the race route that I can look out of my window everyday and see the scene of the crime. So be it, onwards and upwards, see you next year

105/6 place i think, 36:37 or so, very upset, could have been so much better. I'm clearly not challenging for a top 20 place but slowly slowly. Walking/hobbling home didn't help either. Will try to make the chisworth/charlesworth race perhaps!
Just a quick mention that the Joe Barber Herod Farm race is coming up very soon, on Wednesday 20th April. Our old venue, which was the Drovers Arms is now a private house, so the race HQ has been moved down the road to Reliance Garage, to whom we are very grateful. The race course is unchanged with the start/finish in the usual place, so there'll be about a ten minute jog to there from the garage. The toilets at the garage should also be available on the night (provided I remember to pick up the key during the day!)
