I've just had a text from Stef saying she's expecting to go in for her surgery imminently. I will post any further news as I get it
Stef's gone in now for her operation
How long is expected to take DT?
Procedure is supposed to take around an hour and a half OHW. I'll post any updates I get from Stef's mum on here

Thanks for kind thoughts everyone. I got a text earlier this morning (it's 7am here) from Stef. She sounded in good spirits, said she was being well cared for and feels relieved her operation has been done now

Thanks again for everyone's thoughts and all the posts on here. Stef is hoping to leave hospital later today with her consultant's blessing (and some painkillers). I'm still in Shanghai but move on to Bangladesh tomorrow
Stef will no doubt post on here when she gets home and I think she'll update her blog as she recovers. I hope link works. Blogger is blocked in China (plus YouTube)
Stef is still in hospital following post-operation complications. I hope to hear some further news later today
