Good luck Rev!! Smash it.
Reports from the keen boys up there already are that it's bloody awful. Great.
After 5 continuous years I regret to confess that I am looking forward to a year off. Especially hearing the weather forecast!
Great race, weather was horrible, really terrible!
I thought the weather conditions were almost ideal, a little too cold on the tops later but just what you need generally to keep cool!
How did everyone get on with those road shoes?
Ricky Lightfoot wasn't around to collect his winner's prizes because he's on a night shift. Isn't he a fireman? I wonder if Mo Farah does something useful after a hard day's racing...
First attempt and it broke me, I was a shell of a runner upon reaching the summit of Ingleborough, the next 4/5 miles were horrendous, I hit the wall big time, I'd still be out there if it wasn't for the kind folk manning sulber nic checkpoint :) in fact all the marshalls were amazing, thank you to each and every one of them :) I was on jo buckley shoulder coming up Ingleborough, I bet she beat me by 20 minutes at least. ... great day though, I'll be back :)
Sort of enjoyed it! PB of 4.43.27, not great but happy enough now I've settled down. To be honest the weather wasn't a massive problem. I wore shorts which I wasn't convinced was a good idea but went with it. Legs never felt cold at all. Felt good on Whernside but struggled a little on Ingleborough, though not as bad as in the past! Run down wasn't too nice. Great day. God Bless the Marshals! :)
Run of the day for me was Clayton's Keiran Carr with his V70 course record!! Fantastic.
