Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
After this weekend my "report card" says...
"Must Try Harder" :o
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
I am sure today is the day Pat, 77.5kg
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Yes I'm sure today is the day. Lots of fluctuation for me these past 2 weeks and now 64.5kg.
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
85 kg on the nose for me.
Not much loss from last time, but I had actually scheduled a bit of a plateau after 10 weeks, so seem to have timed it perfectly!
Hardly any running in the last month either, as I've been out climbing.

The following day I ran 15-16 miles round the Kinder Trog slowly. I must have burned a couple of days calories at least and I've felt starving all week - even though I've had a couple of rest days since!
My point is if you do a lot of running/cycling unless you just drink pints and eat takeaways you're bound to lose weight. I've lost tons of weight since I started running and I haven't really watched what I've eaten, I've just ran a lot. Maybe being in my twenties (just) helps too.
I'm now down to the point where I need to lose about a stone/stone and a half to become competitive. It's really hard, but weekends like the last one and races like Edale Skyline are really helping.
I rarely weigh myself either I've decided I'll only weigh myself regularly when I can see a six pack clearly - then I'll know my body fat is very low and I should be near my racing weight. There's no point being a slave to the scales until then. It's taken me two years to lose almost three stone and I reckon it'll take another year to lose the rest, but I know it'll stay off when I do and I'll be a lot faster!
I'm alot older than you to be fair but that's simply not true for me anyway. I've been doing tons of running and although I've lost 10 to 12 pounds in weight over the last year my weight has stubbornly remained fairrly constant so far this year, even though I've probably run 650 miles since January 1st. Maybe I'm eating too much to compensate but the alternativeof running and feeling faint doesn't appeal either
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
77.2 on my new salter scales

Ditto for me as well, I had to consciously look at my eating habits as well as increasing my exercise to achieve the success I have had. I am hovering between 70 and 70.5 Kg at the moment.
Remember ye can use any measurements ye want except Votmels, Sacks, fothers and any other obsolete units you can think of.
Quite amusing actually some of the units.

I will change the table header.

I'm clocking in with 84.3Kg (-0.7Kg in a week). Quiet happy considering I was 86.5Kg on Sunday evening. But we did have a big family Easter feast and loads of rubbish to boot..
Got myself a little diary and adding Calorie intake of what I eat into it (makes for slow/fun shopping reading all the labels). Want to monitor my Calorie count for a couple of weeks to see what are the naughty parts.:o

That measurement is meaningless, have to be consistent with when you weigh yourself. There is a significant increase during the day. First thing in the morning is what was advised earlier in the thread.
