Thanks DT and ajb
Had forgotten the Haworth one. Tempted by the Four Passes too. Not raced in the Lakes yet so might have a look at that.

Will,
have a look at the Grindleford Gallop. 12th March. Not an FRA race (although apparently it used to be?) so not in the calendar. Approx 21 miles and 3500ft climb. Depending on who's GPS you read. I've seen it recorded as much higher but it isn't. More of a heavy duty trail race than out and out fell but a damn good blast nonetheless.

I have missed out on the Skyline with an awol entry form :-(
I was also looking at the Calderdale Hike for a mid-April option.
Where is everyone?
in past years there has been a race map for sale - anyone know if this will be the case again this year?
does anyone know where the final entry list is.still dont know wether im in or not.
Well there is an entry list here http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/n...1/484581643258 from 21st Dec don't know if its the final one or not though.
The final, (unequivocal?) start list is now here on the race's facebook.
see you in 8 weeks!
Oh good. Final entry list just popped up on Facebook. I sent my entry in beginning of December and this is the first time I've appeared!! I'd given up on this, just assumed what with the post delays in the snow etc that I'd missed out. Well that nice little surprise has made my evening!

Hi All,
If there is anybody that will not be running from Dark Peak, i would be willing to take your place, i think we can transfer within a club on this one?

Bizarrely looking forward to this one! More so for Kirsten, who's going to have to run well to meet the cut-off, though she is well capable of doing so. Did a recce last Sunday and I don't fancy those frozen conditions on the day...it felt like 19 miles of tarmac running!
Had a look at the down and up....hmmm, depends on my training between now and then. The down is not my sort of descent, rough and tussocky (unless someone's going to tell me there's a better line - basically came down on the left hand edge of the trees), but the up is fine, if a little daunting after that distance! But boy, oh boy, is it ever a long way back and around the top!
Reccied the whole route on Saturday in quite poor conditions - for fun, as am not in. Won't be any records broken if it's like that on the day. (Apart from number of no-shows.)
I am going to have a run around the second half Friday morning if anybody is interested
Anyone doing a recce this coming weekend 5th or 6th March?
Myself and a friend are doing a recce on Sunday, just the first half, but it will be fairly slow, as I expect to be near the back of the pack come race day, as I haven't managed to get any sensible mileage in. For fairly slow make that exceedingly slow.
Will probably be at Edale about 9:00, send a PM if you're interested to arrange.
I'll be doing bit's of it on Friday night and Saturday morning, although it will be A/C :)
Went out yesterday lunchtime for a recce of the second half- what an absolutely gorgeous day for it! Someone had been round before us wearing walshes... anyone on here?
I'm now very very excited, although weather like yesterday on race day would be very much appreciated!
Hi Rach, we were out on the second half around lunchtime but no walshes between us.
The most glorious day imaginable, life just doesn't get better than that.
