Evening Pinno - I now have a monochromatic, noise added new wallpaper pic thanks. :)
Evening Ady, I like the avatar pic Ady looks good. I planned on doing the Halton 5 mile road race today but ankle still a bit tender for the road after my decorating mishap earlier in the week, so I went and photographed it. Looks like it was dominated by Liverpool Harriers.
Did you manage to get out today? I am hoping to get out for a 5 miler tomorrow fingers crossed.
Evening Harrymoon.
had a lovely weekend so far Ady, was in Sheffield thursday and friday nights visiting a mate, took a day taking pics friday at Chatsworth then yesterday was with the nephews mostly, had a 10k today but best not talk about that and then did the allotment this afternoon, sunday tea with the family and out to telfords for some live music with the brother-in-law quite soon. tomorrow still not decided! saw your pics from Rivington, would have done that but was travelling back and seeing the nephews, looked tough!
Sounds a busy one. I've just been bumming about 2day, hope to get out on the bike in the morning weather willing and then a long trot on Tuesday.
evening Pinno, hope that ankle is better soon!
Hoping to get back on track tomorrow with the running its bugger watching races when you want to be taking part. Mind you it has given me some time to experiment with the camera.
Still got loads of pics from yesterday to sort and today's race. Shall have to open a nice bottle of Chardonnay I think to help me a long.

Just been looking at the pics from today's South Cheshire 10k. A few good ones of you Harrymoon.
Cheers Stagger. Just trying to finish the last lot of pics from yesterday still a lot to sort. Didn't realise you ran yesterday only spotted Ady people came up towards the summit in quite big groups a times it was hard to get everyone although I tried.

My step-dad, my real Dad, was in India during the war and he used to find this series so funny!
Lofty was in Burton one christmas a few years back flogging CD's with a sort of temporary karoke stall in the main shopping precinct. He is (was?) really short!
This was one of my favs years ago and I loved the theme tune.

Yep, he was (died a couple of years ago now) a tad on the smallish size wasn't he! Mind, he was not only a great singer but also could play a host of musical instruments to boot. What a shame such a talented bloke ended up busking...:(
With ya there Pinno. What a great series. :)
They don't make 'em like they do Mr Mainwaring... :D
Morning Merry, Did you manage to survive the 26 mile last night or should I say this morning?
Morning all, back from my midnight madness, listen to this, you could'nt make it up. Apparently you had to register as a runner or walker, we planned to do a bit of both so we classed ourselves as walkers. It was'nt a race after all and we did it for charity and fun. So of we set walking the first 3 miles, four of us together, one person registered as a runner and was held back for half an hour. One of my mates has joined the Halifax Harriers and is fitter than he thinks he is. Another walker had set off jogging, so the two of us left our two mates to try and catch him. We caught him and passed him, but after a mix up with a marshall went the wrong way and probably added a mile to our route. Said walker ended up in front but we caught him again at a feed station. The three of us ran on together, me and my mate just lost him about 2 mile from the finish, and ended up being the first two back. That's when the fun started, the runner who'd been held back for half an hour came in about 35 mins behind us, now i think my maths is correct, we beat him by 5 mins, right, but its not a race, its charity and fun. He then starts to throw teddy bears and dummies all over the place saying we were walkers not runners and he wants his name in the paper. I'm too busy feeding me face and fighting the urge to have a celebratory fag, to be bothered by this scrotum. My mates fuming, so continues half an hour of teddy throwing from him, piss taking from me, and i think my mate was fighting the urge to ram a dummy up his arse. Anyway as far as i know he got his way and will be credited with the win, personally i could'nt give a shite, i had a good time, raised some money for charity and had a good feed. This is the best bit, though, my other two mates come in 2 hours behind us, the local paper's reporter has turned up, and takes their picture, as they are classed as the first walkers back. Lads, i'm proud of you. Did tell the reporter that me and me mate deserved to be ignored, cos we'd injected ourselves with Bull's testosterone and eaten massive amounts of steriod babies on the way round. It may be the only way we get our names in the paper:rolleyes: Now awaiting a ban and possibly a slap from God, as this event was to raise money for Christian Aid. Think i'll stick to Fell races, or enter as a runner next year, now i know the score, and kick namby pambies arse, again:D
By eck Merry sounds a right rum do. Well done on completing it anyway.
Well bone ML,thats a great story!:D
:D good one merry. sounds eventful
 yes you cheeky monkey, I was up early today doing chores.
family meal eek... I avoid them at all costs
eventful merry and big congratulations, not knowing whether i'm meant to be a runner or a walker sounds like every fell race I enter. hope they raised a bit for charity:)
Paid my money in before the start. My mate's thinking of witholding his in protest, but i've said, if he does, i shall hold him in the same low regard as the stick insect, wittering, mummies boy who won and went home to spend the rest of the day in his cot sulking. His mum's probably giving him a nice bottle as we speak. Off running now, running a bath, that is, shower this morning was not enough:D
oh dazza you are so in trouble now :p no wonder you didn't go to shining cliffs, you was scared I'd be there to whoop your ass! I am being a viking in my picture  OBVIOUSLY
I was up at 8 actually, not bad for easter monday
Me Stick, loved it:cool: Nice to hear you call your step dad, your real dad, i'm a step dad and my son calls me his real dad cos i'm the one who's always there for him;)
