Celebrations? 23 miles on the easy Tuesday morning CTC ride, just 2 other old grimpeurs turned out in conditions that would have suited Noah.
This evening? A trot out from Carwags on the Beacon Fell perimeter circuit and saw Mike Johnson come past like a bolt of lightning to set a new course record for the Figure of 8 circuit - 28 minutes & 35 seconds - using just a Petzl Tikka +; then down to the Tillies in Chipping, with a birthday cake by Pam, the reigning Grand Bat ( and Grand Bat Chick ). How else for your 62nd in November?
