Looking forward to the race. Went round the first half this morning - any experts out there know the best line up Wythburn? Stay on the left of the stream all the way? Cross to the right early on and skirt the boggy flat bits further up? Do folk climb steeply to the col at the head of the valley or do a rising traverse from the right - starting at the sheepfold? The way I went (left of stream nearly all the way) wasn't great.

It's got to be really dry at the moment, that must help higher up. I'd cross the stream to the right but then I've never raced it. I'm definitely not the expert advice you are looking for.
Left of the stream until the last level bit where you can cross to the right and then on left again, ascending the steep part along the path.

That sounds ok. It is very tempting to cross to the right very low down (before the footbridge) as it seems to 'cut the corner'. Glad left is best though as thats what I looked at today. Ta Yiannis
