Anyone know if four legged runners are allowed tomorrow?
Re maps - I'd assume you have to take your own. I think as long as you can take a bearing and can navigate by the map then a laminated, A4 map would be fine.
On the entry form it says no dogs allowed
My best friend is doing this tomorrow. She did it last year and before she got to check point one she heard someone running behind her so in true fell running etiquette she stepped aside to let him past. He said "I'm the sweeper love". Anyway, she gave up but this year is determined to finish and she has been training hard. My partner who completed it last year has been given the task of getting her round.
So if you see a little "Rocktart Runner", give her a cheer in "go go go Caroline" xxx
Thanks Will - didn't spot that.
Had a great day, it was tough and I have sunburn in the shape of my vest, but its definitely a race worth doing, especially for Laddow rocks.
Some pics up already http://www.flamingphotography.co.uk/...lio270295.html
Ditto. Tough route, but it was a good race. I was trashed by the road section on the run in and even had to walk a couple of hundred yards to try and stop my calves cramping. I can't remember feeling so rough for so much of a race before though. I'm sure that feeling will return at Borrowdale though!
really enjoyed that! found the section from Crowden to Laddow the toughest, seemed like an oven at the bottom of the Laddow climb. had down patch going back towards the mast. happy to get in under 4hours.
big thanks to the excellent marshall and who ever made the coconut and cherry cake
bed now....
