You're not missing much Toreador. They are good value for what they are and nice and light but have a very tight beam. okay for a steady run out but not good enough if you want to move relatively quickly over rough ground ;) Seems like a nice company to deal with though :)Quote:

Has anyone seen the new Silva Alpha headtorch? It has two arrays of LEDs - one for flood at your feet and one for distance (150m!). Costs about £300 with Li Ion battery.
Looks like yet another new leader could be emerging.... :D
It won't be on my list at £300 quid!
