Seriously though Amex, well done for getting round. I chose not to go. I'm passable at navigating, but I felt the combination of my fitness being borderline to get around when I can see where I'm going and the difficulties of the conditions, it wouldn't have been fair on the RO and his team and I could have compromised myself up there having limited experience in the area.
I'm surprised there aren't some still up there ;)
Hey Amex
I was doing great until I overshot CAW by actually descending the south crag and finding the wall in the mist: the wall that we started from. Looking back up at Caw still in heavy clag we decided to trot back down to earth level. A great day for testing nav skills. Yes a reccy would have helped enormously in those conditions. Still I enjoyed being back in the hills after 18months away. Even though the cramps got me driving back down Wrynose pass.. ouch!
Thanks to all who helped to make it happen.
does anyoe know where the results are?
cheers
I've emailed the RO, and they are hoping to have the website up soon, but in the meantime are accepting entries on the standard FRA form, or on last year's form with the year amended...
new website is up and running now. Looking forward to it.
I was just looking for the splits from Sportident when I last did Duddon in 2009 but the results aren't on sportident. I'm sure they covered the event.
Just interested to look at the old history as many do with the PPP.
Anyone help?
Doesn't have to be 2009 race.

WP - Attached (hopefully!) is a spreadsheet with the cumulative times and splits from the long Duddon 2009. The ranking is done using an Excel function and does not include those runners that did not finish. 3 runners (169-171) did not have a time for Harter Fell so I inserted an approximate one for them. The cumulative ranking to Harter Fell and the split ranking to Harter Fell and Hard Knott could therefore have a small error from around their position onwards.
