Any scale would do as long as it is sufficient for navigation if you need it. I usually carry a colour print A4 size; it is more manageable than a large map (I must confess, I've done the race so many times, the map stays in my pocket).Quote:

In the Saunders MM they used to issue only one description sheet per pair (in the days when you had to mark the map after the start). That did cause some problems on occasions.
