Oh no... have I got the wrong end of the stick AGAIN!;)
I want to make it clear, I have yet to wear (or even express an interest in) a mankini.
Now I know why you're so bloomin' fast... running scared of cold water.
You've nothing to worry about. There's not enough upholstery on you to be of interest to a pike or even an eel. ;)
And pour scorn upon we warriors of the road, and we'll come round and whip your skinny ass with your own manbag.:D

So good he posted it twice.
Do you mean pain as in the event or the cost:eek:
It's a good 'un though, even at the money... they say the hill on the run is a killer, and they mean it, but the venue is great and the bike course, a cracker.
Helvellyn is a beauty... How the hell Ali Brownlee got round in the time he did last year I don't know. Can't speak for the Vit, but have unfinished business at Helvellyn...
... does that sound a bit triathlon-esque of me?!!;)
you know... a bit like Jeremy Clarkson!
Money-wise, it's a different league to fell races, but Bala is a great one, and if that's worth the money, then the awesome Helvellyn is cheap at (literally) half the price.
Wensleydale is the same price, roughly, as Helvellyn, but this year will be my first time, so can't speak for what it's like as a race. Reportedly a good 'un and in some respects, harder than Helvellyn. The water is colder; the cycle route has nastier hills and the run is all run-able. I must dig out a review of it on here somewhere.
A whole year's fell running didn't cost me as much as Bala, but granted, I don't do many races:( .
I'm hoping to get to Helvellyn, it just depends;)
Beans are excellent for producing a good tune on the bowel bugle:eek: :D
do you drink nuclear brown with a straw?
Aye ah mite be!!!

well Daz isn't posting here about his Fell Pony win (at the loop) so I will....and a prize winner too, not sure all those biscuits will help the training though
well, as the only Anarchist in attendance, it is indeed true as harrymoon says that I got a "win" - 63rd out of 69!
for a short while I thought I might have to DNF though  - tweaked my knee on the first section of the descent off the ridge and was really painful for a while - sucked it up for the honour of the Ponies though :D
I've already started on those biccies :o
Well done Daz!
Up the Ponies!
None of the mighty Brycheiniog in attendance?
Well sucked up daz, keep the pony pride going. Rice Pudding Boy, call my pint a poof agin an i'll set me mutha on yer:D
