Good shout Alf !
A pint of Guinness Extra Cold, followed by a bottle of my absolute favourite, Dorothy Goodbody's Wholesome Stout. Well earned after a headtorcher on Ilkley Moors last night.

Lunchtime in the Victoria Hotel, Beeston. 1 pint of Castle Rock Harvest Pale and 1 pint of Holdens Black Country Bitter. Bliss. Working nextdoor has it's perks.
A bottle of Guinness Foreign Extra, at 7.5 %, followed by a Stringers Dry Stout from Ulverston. Both very nice. The Guinness was the real McCoy, brewed in Ireland.
Theakston's Old Peculier. Luvly jubbly
A bottle of Pride Of Oxford (not impressed, no wonder it was reduced at Booths !), a bottle of Daleside Brewery "Old Leg Over" (excellent), finished off with a Guinness Foreign Extra.
Timothy Taylor's Landlord and a bottle of Roaring Meg - both on offer at Morrisons. Roaring Meg was a new one for me - decent.

May as well polish off that last bottle of Old Peculier as I'm busted on the weigh-in tomorrow anyway
A brilliant headtorch run up Simons Seat, followed by 2 Guinness Extra Cold recovery ales & a rather splendid Honey Porter.
A couple of bottles of T.T. Landlord tonight - still £1:50 at Morrissons
A cheeky Guinness extra cold in The White Horse, Rosedale Abbey, following the Helmsley 10k. Then a mighty fine Cropton Brewery Scoresby Stout in the evening.
A bottle of Ridley's Old Bob, after 10m recce of the Excalibur Marathon route in the Clywdian Range (lower parts of which still have 3ft snow drift in places!) - don't know if its just me being a lightweight, but whilst Old Bob tasted pretty good it was seriously thick and heavy - was struggling to find room for a second (which is not normally like me at all!)
Tid
A bottle of Ringwood Old Thumper tonight - very nice, going down alot smoother than the Old Bob did last night anyway....
Tasty bottle of Bradfield Farmers stout this evening, recovery drink from stripping wallpaper this afternoon and bed shopping this morning.... Very smooth and moreish!

Working in the Dales this weekend and I've been booked in to the Craven Heiffer, what delightful beers should I be drinking...Bearing in mind I need to be in Horton for 6.00am
6am is what coffee is for, an early start and finish at the bar would be my advice.

Had a brewery tour of the Wharfebank Brewery in Pool the other week.
Well recommended, good information and plenty of ale served up as you walk round!
Plus the meal at the local pub after was damn tasty!

Well I was supposed to have a night off given Pendle race tomorrow but just been to my local Sainsburys and they're selling Spitfire half price, £1 a bottle. Not my favourite beer, but not bad and at that price it would have been rude not to. I resisted the temptation to clear the shelf in the hope that i might still be in a fit state to run tomorrow after just one or four bottles....
2 cans of Guinness draught for me tonight.
2 Abbots
4 Newcastle browns
Nice pint of Calderdale's latest microbrewery, Slightly Foxed Brewing Co's 'Slightly Foxed' a session Pale, among others tonight.
Some post-race Taylor's Landlord
