I'd just add that I think England's set pieces could have been better. Unusually for England, there was plenty of incisive action from open play but I'm struggling to think of many free kicks or corners that really troubled the keeper.

I don't really care about the football. But I'd be saddened if the thread wasn't at least temporarily marred by some grumpy twonk pointlessly complaint about some I.....err... I mean they could just ignore.

Stagger, 4 points should send us through, beat Uruguay and we'll almost certainly go through..

Spain lost their first game in 2010 and went on to win the whole thing!
I have had my doubts about England too, but they did play much better last night and will go through,
if they continue to play the same way.
