Aye they got a load of cash from advertising as well and now there is still time for a good holiday before they go back to their clubs and bask in the reflected glory of the foreign players in their team :(

this " building for the future " nonsense , ive heard this after every tournament for decades , and still we are always let down .
Any one over 25 should be back on the plane today.
Radical is required, nothing to lose now.
I was at the City Ground in 1993 to see a previous golden generation I wouldn't watch the full England team now if they were playing Brazil on our local rec
Hodgson has some crucial selection issues still to settle. The main one is aisle or window seat? ;)
Where are the England central defenders with character these days, the ones who held the defences together by example and strength of character? Only John Terry has come close to that particular description in the last 6 years. I remember watching Tony Adams against Argentina in the World Cup and thinking he would get humiliated by that talented Argentinian attack but instead he became a "wall" keeping them out time after time, absolutely brilliant! Jack Charlton, Terry Butcher, Sol Campbell, Rio Ferdinand you always had confidence in the defences they were in
He played once for England and I was looking at World Cup experience. I missed out Norman Hunter as he was crap and was responsible for us missing the 1974 World Cup. I missed out Ledley King as he was always getting injured. Carragher's best position was at full back not a central defender even if he played there for his club.
I have forgiven Terry Butcher for not tripping up Maradona in 1986 :D
I missed out Bobby Moore which was unforgiveable :o probably the most skilful centre back we have produced with only Rio Ferdinand getting anywhere close to him in that respect
