A workmate, Dave Lancaster, played for Chesterfield and scored 2 goals against Liverpool in a cup game. He was marked that night by Mark Wright.... he loves talking about it, good on him.

And here he is Darren, turns out he played for Alf's boys as well
Nice one Richard, after he stopped playing professional football he started working on building sites after doing a bricklaying course. Dave did the site work for about 2 yrs then got his old job back at British Aerospace, he's a toolmaker by trade. Dave's a cracking bloke, proper good laugh. He gives me loads of stick about my scruffy appearance and quite often asks if I've wasted my weekend running up a f**king mountain, he just doesn't get it. He's well into fishing, which I don't get.....and he still plays five a side.
What will England's excuses be against Chile?
Anyone wish to pre-empt what might be said this time?
Not sure if he played for Morecambe in his younger days, that would be before the 'wreckage of Colne Dynamos' as it puts it in the article. About 25 years ago Chalkie White, a business man from Colne launched a money no object project to get Dynamos into the League, they seemed to sign everyone in sight to full time contracts including European Cup winner Alan Kennedy, won a couple of promotions in the lower leagues but when they got as far as the Conference it all went tits up, the money ran out, the team folded and Chalkie disappeared.
Ask Dave about those days and if he knows what happened to Chalkie
