Imagine the frustration: you're a red kite, and you've spotted a delicious roadkill pheasant; but the road is busy with cars, and you know that if you go down for your meal, you will end up as the next piece of roadkill.
I had a lot of sympathy for the two red kites seen circling over the A60 between Cotes and Hoton when I was on my bike ride this afternoon.
You could have stopped and thrown it on to the verge for them to feast in peace Anthony!

Yes - I was very pleased not seen them often and generally in Scotland. I have seen them in Mid Wales before, but high up at Glaslyn near Plumlumon.Quote:
