I see it says mobile phone on the kit list...problem is I don't own one! Is it really an essential?
Cheers - Raymond Hickman
p.s. entry is in the post anyway.
On a personal level, I wish the date had been mid March rather than at the very end
Well I've now looked at the diary and don't need an excuse at all! We're going to Edinburgh to the World Cross Country (to watch you understand, not run!)
No online entry this year ?;)
Well I'd rather it was mid March as well, rather than nearly mid-summer. Anyway as there will be no snow for the skyline this year I'm going skiing instead.
Big Fella. On a more serious note, I can see where the organisers are coming from with the (not all that significant) change of date. I was out supporting our club members with some sustenance at Mam Nick then across at Grindslow Knoll. At the latter location, I finished up assisting the MRT marshal (IanDarkPeak - I think) with a severe case of hypothermia - a well dressed / equipped and quite experienced competitor who collapsed and suffered temporary loss of vision. It was really scarey, trying to keep a semi-delirious casualty warm in a wild and exposed location - not an experience that I willingly want to repeat.
