Re: Edale Skyline 30th March 2
The date has nothing to do with the weather.
Weekend of 2nd- I am not available
Weekend of 9th is HPM weekend
Weekend of 16 th is to close to HPM- it will upset the locals if there are
2 big events on consecutive weekends
Weekend of 23rd is Easter weekend- it is busy enough in Edale that weekend without the Skyline as well- plus I usually go away then to avoid the crowds.
Hence that leaves the 30th.
Re: Edale Skyline 30th March 2
Well I think the timing is just fine. Entry arrangements are just fine. Route is just fine. The weather will be just fine. In fact there's no reason to complain at all.:):):):)

No offence Wheezing donkey, but clearly you are a ballbag. I didn't whinge or complain about the date or ask for it to be changed. I merely stated that personally I wish it had been 2 weeks earlier like it was last year. What a muppet. The reason being, that I'd hoped to race Edale. Imgaine disrupting the thread to have a personal attack on me and others (who weren't even involved in the thread which you refer to)

Well said that Man. :)
Re: Edale Skyline 30th March 2
Not complaining at all. I was looking forward to the race this year and was very pleased to see that someone (Andy J) had agreed to organise it. (it can't be the easiest race to organise). Unfortunately School holidays etc pushed the skiing holiday to that same week.
Last years race was an 'experience' and I understand the concerns some have expressed.
The idea of a 3 race Edale series also appeals greatly, I absolutely love the Edale valley. So a big thankyou to Andy for stepping up to the mark and organising these.

FM - lighten up! It was an attempt at a bit of humour. I call myself Wheezing Donkey because I'm wracked with asthma and can't keep up with the thoroughbreds - you've got to be pepared to laugh at yourself now and again.
Mind you, "Ballbag" - that elevates me to the same status as "The Master"; I believe that you bestowed the same title on him ( see '2008 FRA Calendar' thread ).
All the best to you and yours for the festive period.
