Sorry to interupt all this Bristol based hilarity, but talking of tits.... Anybody see that bit in fellrunner about EA registration? If you're a member of the FRA you can register for free. I suppose it could save a couple of quid on road races, and I guess we could enter the FRA relays if we wanted.
Any thoughts? Anybody give a monkey's?
Right back to jugs :D
Hmmmmm... a Pony team in the FRA relays, I like the idea of it... :)
I suppose I better volunteer for the navigation leg, being a woman and knowing where I am going and all that :D
Pudge / Daz- I mentioned this an age ago on the pony thread but no-one responded....
The idea is indeed to encourage members of 'fellrunning only' clubs such as ourselves to have a go at xc and road and the like without being penalised (it also looks good for EA to have as many registered athletes on their books as possible i guess)......the tricky question is whether it would extend to team events.......the free EA membership is as individuals only which as I understand wouldnt therefore permit ponies to be counted as a team in a UKA event......that being said, some organisers are less fussy than Alias / Soppy Sack Norman Bates and may let you away with it.......on the other hand, the FRA relays being given their correct title- THE UKA fell and hill relay championships is clearly a different matter and we probably therefore would not be permitted to enter it as a club team as we are not registered with EA / UKA as a club team if you follow......that being said- a pile of EA registered individuals who compete for the same club (though not UKA registered) raises an interesting debate and I naturally would delighted to enquire on our behalf if the situation arises......I'm kleeping someone in a job in these recession hit times.....hope that is all suitably confusing as the rules demand
Oh, and i'll ask Al Fowler what kleeping means:p
