Leg 4 CWR this morning. Best part of the day:)
Last two days have technically been rest days but took a group out walking yesterday so 5 hours on the hill at 'slow recovery pace'.
Today I've been running a navigatation test on Bleaklow/Derwent edge (if you can Nav there you can any where) another 4 hours. ( including a trip to the very rare Bog Billbery)
Tommorrow going over Blackhill probably on a Crowden Horse shoe varient with a return down Tankies.
First ever fell run!
The lakes. Keswick - Ashness Bridge - up and across to Walla Crag - Back to Keswick.
About 6 miles.....bloody hard running up the road to ashness bridge!
Well i need to 'keep it up' because i need to work on my 'up hill legs and lungs' because i felt like i was going to die on the climb up the road to ashness bridge!
But i loved it...even if i did have to wait 2.5 hours in keswick until the bus set off back to preston.
Well done Al. You ran past Bob Graham's memorial just before you got to Ashness Bridge - did you know?
Dam it, i didnt know that no, oh well....ill just have to run it again sometime:D
Oh actually ive just googled it and i did actually see it, but just thought it was a bit of a strange cairn so didnt go and inspect it ;)
