Was that you by the wall crossing today Andy? I noticed someone with a massive lens for a face as i was struggling to get a purchase on that high wall :D. Really glad i went along today even if i did end up with burning legs about a mile in, limestone country like that is both beautiful and exciting to run in. My goal was to beat those two little U14 boys who sneaked in, it was a hollow victory! Where do they get their speed from...

Quite a good action shot there mate, thanks; i look like Tin Tin, better get myself to the barbers! I noticed the path zigzagged a bit on my recce and thought a more direct route off the edge might be worth a place or two. I think i might have made second 'daler too. Tried to stick with Sam off the start, which went well up to the point where the hills began :o.

Hey Mr B, good to put a face to the name now, you should of joined us next to the fire at the pub, the Black Magic Thwaites ale was particularly good.

Yes, i was coveting that spot by the fire! Are you Lauren's dad then? Re the Black Magic- i can't imagine what an ale flavoured with liquorice must taste like...must be an acquired taste that Sheep aficionados cringe at the thought of :p.

Ah right. According to the latest issue of Fellrunner, a nice refreshing pint of ale after a race increases the risk of circulatory problems in the capillaries in your limbs by dilating them...or something. However, the good news is that compression of tissues can negate this so i might have my next race pint wrapped up in cling film- if it's Landlord or Sheep it will be worth the following arrest for Public Order offences!
