Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
There were quite a few to be updated!
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Although I no longer participate in the chart I'm now weighing in at 11 stone 8 (no idea what that is in kilo-gese) which is the better part of 2 stones less than I was weighing a couple or three years ago. I've put my miraculous weight loss down to eating a bit less, drinking a bit less and running more. I'm surprised nobody's written a million selling diet book using the 'stolly plan' yet :)
That said while running the pembrokeshire costal path with Hes in the past couple of weeks, we pretty much had to stuff our faces with cake each and every day just to keep going... and I still lost a couple of pounds doing it!

Taking the focus off the weight training?

Yeah it's just a bit difficult to fit in a regular programme with other responsibilities that I've got. I've tried to do it, and been kidding myself. It's been annoying and taken me some time to realise I just can't do it at the moment. My recent time away from the weights has caused me to drop in strength and size, yet put on around the waist as I ain't been doing anything.
So the new plan is to enjoy the summer outdoors get plenty of running in and drop some timber from the waist. Then come winter hopefully my schedule will have eased off and then I can get back on the weights, and not have to worry about gaining a bit of fat from the extra calories I'll be eating a day.

I enjoyed this post as it uses words (like stone) that I can understand. Envy you the P coastal path. Had a similar experience when long distance walking in France - ate tons of cheese & chocolate but still was always hungry and gained no weight.
