couldnt make wormstones so went for a hilly 7 mile run instead
got my 43 min run down to 39 mins today
not sure how it happened, unless my watch was broke??
14 miles, 3500' with a 5.5 mile fell race in the middle. Just got home before dark - lovely!
harrock hill 5 mile race last night 4th in the series beat my time by a minute and a bit:eek:
- god knows how felt like crap all the way round but there is photographic evidence that i wasn't talking!!!
pleased though cos beat the woman who gave my a nasty elbow in a sensitive area:mad: no way was she getiing to the line first!!:D
:D Go Emmi!
50 steady miles (cycle) on quite lanes in the ribble valley in the warm August sunshine. Ice cream stop at Slaidburn and got home just as it seems to be clouding over. Might have a snooze now............
5 mile this morning with sore knees.
10 mile just then on lads leap route. Very nice day.
6 miles over the fields. Had to stop and hack the nettles down with a stick to get through! Then swallowed a fly and threw up. Not the greatest training run ever...
I was ok until I'd had a bath - got out looked like something from a horror movie!!
felt bad though cos a pal came to my area for a run (I usually always drive up to the fells as live in flat land!) so I took her on an off road trail that I 'occasionally' do to discover it completely overgrown with brambles and nettles - not to be disheartened decided to run first and ahead a wee bit to take the brunt of the stings the track went on for a helluva lot longer than i ever remember! couldn't feel my legs or most of my torso by the end of it!!
I suppose road running can have its up sides..........
My legs were once still itching the day after a nettle confrontation.
Im still totally knackered from Sedbergh, I did a club run and sturggled on every climb. Just ended up dossing about really.
Got fed up with running in the end.
Sat at Darwen tower and watched the sun go down over the isle of man with a guy from my club.
It was like a scene from Brokeback Mountiain
Yeah Grisedale next, very excited. Having a camping trip and a few beers on Saturday night. Its now turned into a club thing so should be a good laugh.
Hope the mad woman from Borrowdale can make it. She was eating Petes dinner you know.
Nope need to sign up to facebook, was she eating petes dinner in the picture?
She was a man hating mad woman, but her fella was just so chilled, lovely couple.
Fantastic
When Phallic is Googled
Well Im not even gonna try to put that into words
You cant say that about Darwen Tower:eek:
Thats what we where sat on
I said it was like a scene Brokeback Mountain, not that we re-enacted it.
10 miler on the roads again tonight felt a lot stronger tonight. I run better in the evening than early in the morning.
Club fell run in the Goyt Valley. Lovely evening, great views.
The sunset as we drove to the Shady Oak for our meal was fabulous!
swimming this morning - 7am had the whole pool to myself:D
7 miles last night, very enjoyable ...... although the dog was a pain, wasn't interested in sheep .... just their poo!
Yesterday was 5 miles paths round the park. Used it as a speed session doing 3 x 1 mile reps plus some hill reps. BORING!

Cheeky little 5 miler at l.15pm today around Pex hill, Rainhill Stoops and the lanes around Cronton and Rainhill. Didn't feel to bad considering did 10 miler late last night.
Pleasant 5.5 road/trail run. It took the athletics on TV to get me motivated today. Training must be paying off as the wife has started commenting on my rib cage/baggy jeans, etc.
12 mile run with 5 x 5mins off 2 mins jog in it. Did 5 x 30 secs hard after the session. Nice afternoon for running.
21 miles with 1000' ascent.
