There's one on the DPFR site Mark, just go to the "Skyline" page. Here you go: http://www.dpfr.org.uk/

Neil has just sent me the updated racemap via email which i'm sure will be available from the usual places once its been printed. i would guess the print runs are kept small as race route can change slightly from year to year. As the skyline has this time round.
as others have said there is all manner of useful info on dpfr.org.uk skyline pages and you'll find the checkpoints in the info which is downloadable with the form. IDP has posted the link above.
I would echo the suggestions of a recce of the second half!
Ian can you clarify this, I've checked the instructions but I can't see any specific route change, is it just a difference on the race map?
the usual restriction are still in force ie the zigzags and Brown Knoll. is there some thing else.
ps you are doing a grand job
Form printed and filled in, placed in a stamped, addressed envelope waiting for the post, target time mentally noted.... now all I have to do is get round to doing some training!! :D
thanks Ian, but its the postie I feel sorry for!
it a minor change, we'll not be cutting down the field after lose hill, instead stay on the path to back tor. Not going in to details why on an open forum but I think its a better route any way as its more technical running.
there may be more significant changes next year, in a good way, but not going in to details about that either. you'll have to wait and see...
Cheers Ian(i feel like I'm chatting to my self) :p
I think I know why, Might be worth getting John to pop a map of this area on the website to show route change and to stop runners recceing the old route running down the field.
I'll be at the meeting next Weds
So how many entries did you get this morning...LOL :)
Racemaps have been sent to the printers, so i'm expecting they will be available from Lakesrunner.com by at latest the end of the month.
I'll post again when they become available.
Entry posted - marvellous. I like the sound of the route change.
Here's hoping for an avoidance of the conditions in 2007, which still send a shudder through me (and my poor frost nipped thumb!).

Ps - Ian Fitz, you're PM box is full, tried to send you a message

Yikes! That must have dragged a bit!
Hats off to you all, but not on that day, obviously :)
If you've not sent in your entry yet get it in today or you might miss out, Ian was on the finishing line at the trigger yesterday and he said he'd had 140+ entires in the first 2 days!
entry posted 1st class this morning TOP PRIORITY....hope I'm in time
Mines getting hand delivered today! :)
i didn't see any that were shredded, a few had bite marks!
the list will be released by friday...
I was at a planning meeting last nigt and Ian tells me that basically the race is full, however he will take some more names for the reserve list
My entry went in the post on Monday. It's going to be a close call!
Start list is up at http://www.dpfr.org.uk/pages/3 (or go to dpfr site and click on the skyline link)
I didn't get a place :( unless they allow more people or I can convince them to have a FU23 category... I'm sure I can do well in that if no-one else enters it!!
Ah well, I'll get on the marshal list if all else fails, looks like it'll be a good race with Carl Bell heading down from the Lakes for it..... :D
I'm in! 1st Skyline for me.
I'm in!
Apparently due to a technical error they'd only had about half the start-list up earlier. Probably worth double-checking if you thought you'd missed out...
Edit: Woooo I am actually in! :D
I'm in!
Imin? wasn't he the dictator of Uganda?
Fifth on the list :D
well if we're being competitive Sam, I'm 4th on the list
I'm in. I shall now begin my weekly visits to Edale. As someone once said 'Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it'.... lets wait and see
Ask if that's true after Brown Knoll - that last bit goes on for ever :D
[QUOTE=IanDarkpeak;461549]I'd best start remembering my secret lines then.....;)
ah yes.. i'll do a little more reccing Ian.. a few more possibilities... then there is the down up!!!
But really i'm just hoping for another bout of cramps from you on the zig zags!!!
