Just because you and I are fellrunners it doesn't mean other runners shouldn't benefit from inov-8's fit, grip etc.

As a footnote I was involved with ETA the specialist fellrunning brand, we had 2 specific fell shoes & 2 trail. Unfortunately even though they specialised the fellrunning Market alone was not big enough to support them and it folded.
Why do you think the likes of your favourite brand only have one shoe?
And why do you think that their sponsored runners choose inov-8 come race day?

Fair does, i do see your point however do you want to know a brand that does do more pure fell shoes than you at the moment...Walsh. The only inov8 shoes i consider to be fell worthy- Lakes, Scotland, Wales etc are Talons, Mudroc 290s (shame you got rid of the 280s), Mudclaw 270's and 330's. Other than the 190s i dont see any other new fell shoes making it onto the market from Inov8 and it would be nice to see some more...think Talon upper with a mudclaw sole.

As for my favourite brand Inov8 all the way despite bitter disappointment at some aspects of the service

I thought walsh only had one sort of tread ?

Anyway , these recolites will do me when their out . Not for recovery shoes but my old sandels need replacing .

Agreed DT, I'm enjoying mine.

Snapped up a pair of 370s in PB's sale (the boot version).

Been pottering around the 3Ps in them and they have been excellent, very comfy and not bad grip.

I will agree with nightingale. Fellrunning, although very popular in UK, is not usual in countries of southern and central Europe because of the tpe of terrain. In UK you have lots of soft muddy terrain while in Europe we have more hard trails, rocky paths and fireroads.

Hi folks, this is my first post.

I got a pair of Recolite 190's from Zappos this week.
They are light, but perhaps not THAT light. My Inov-8 220's are a bit lighter (size 13 for both).
I'm not sure its been mentioned, but the uppers nice and soft.
The outsole is surprising firm -- firmer than my 230's (yeah, I have a lot of Inov-8s).

My only issue is with the heels. The reason I've bought so many pairs is I love the way the heel locks into place with this brand, no matter if I get US13 or US14, the heel fit is great. But with the 190s, the heel is sloppy. I'm guessing that this is on purpose...

Anyways, my intended use is for after sports recovery, relaxation, and maybe beach use, so I'll probably keep them.

That's interesting as even I haven't got a pair coz they're not out in the UK till April:rolleyes:

I find that walshes suit me better comfort wise foot shape and all that. I will wear whatever shoe fits best.
